SCRR Dogs, are fostered by Second Chance Rottweiler Rescue. We are always looking for more foster homes so that we can save more Rotties. Please see our foster parent page if you are interested.Online Adoption Application
All of our adoptions require a $200 donation to help supplement the cost of medical treatment, food and associated cost. We are sorry but if we did not charge we couldn’t save these dogs. Most dogs we spend more than we get back but every little bit helps us in our cause to save this wonderful breed. Thank you for your understanding also remember that your donation may be tax deductible.

Spence 5 Year Old Male
Spence is a big boy at about 110 pounds he is about 5 years old. He
tends to gain weight easily so his weight needs to be monitored.
He is a very nice dog under the right circumstances. He needs to be
with a person/family who is experienced with rotties and understands
leadership and dominance or Spence will be the head of the household.
We will not place him with children under the age of 12. He is a good watch dog and is protective.
Spence had major knee surgery about 2 years ago and is doing well.
He needs to be on supplements to keep his knee working well. He is
housebroken and crate trained and is good in the house. He is up to
date on his vaccines and is heartworm negative and is on preventative.

Kingston 6 year old Male
This very handsome guy is Kingston, he is about 6 years old. Kingston is very friendly and loving. Kingston is good with all female dogs and non-dominant males. He is crate trained and is housebroken. He is a wonderful house dog. He rides very well in the car and walks nicely on a leash. He loves to play with rope dog toys.
Kingston his a big guy and can become dominant without proper leadership. Kingston needs to go to a home with experienced rottie people. He came from a home with children and he was dumped in animal control because he did not like them wrestling and making a lot of noise, at least that was his previous owner's excuse. Kingston had a torn ACL ligament in his knee which we had repaired. Since the TPLO procedure is expensive surgery we think that his previous owners did not want to pay for it. Kingston is fully recovered form the surgery and ready for his forever home. He needs to be a flatland dog and he is on supplements to keep him sound.

Buddy 8-10 year old male
SCRR rescued Buddy after a Facebook campaign to save a senior Rottie mix from death row at the Stockton Animal
Buddy is a very lovable and appears to be a mix of Rottie/Bernese Mountain dog and Yellow Lab/shepherd.
Although his exact age is unknown, our vet says that he is between 8-10 years old.
Buddy was quite overweight when he came here and has been doing great on a diet,
but he still needs to lose a little more.
Buddy is the happiest dog we have ever seen,
his tail never stops wagging. Buddy came to the rescue without any training but is now
learning his commands. He has learned to sit and come and is learning to walk on a leash.
Buddy is a low energy and low maintenance dog who is very happy to just lay at your feet.
He loves people and comes when you call. He would make a perfect companion for a retiree or small quiet family. He is great with other dogs and children. He rides well in a car. He will make someone a very sweet companion.
Buddy is up-to-date in his vaccines and is neutered and micro-chipped.
He is heartworm negative and has been put on preventative. He does have a bad knee and needs
to be kept on supplements.

Lucy 3 year old Female
This cute girl is Lucy. She is about 3 years old. She is very energetic and playful and plays well with other dogs. She is housebroken and crate trained. Her manners around people are not the best.
Lucy is very loving and would make a great family pet with a little work on her manners by a person willing to spend time with her.
Lucy came to us on her last day before euthanasia. She has a tail that is about 6 inches long. I looks like somebody tried to dock her tail and did not know what they were doing.
Lucy is spayed up to date on her vaccinations, microchipped is heart worm negative and is on preventative.

Hope 3 year old Female
Looking for a challenge?
This pretty girl is Hope. She is about 3 years old. She is a feral dog who we have had in our rescue for about 1 year and 4 months. Hope was trapped in the hills above Chico. She is a true feral. We do not know how long she had been on her own probably most of her life as she would not come near people but she was very happy to be with other dogs.
Hope has made a lot of progress but she is in need of somebody to adopt or foster her who can spend a lot of time with her and introduce her to many new situations.
is a very sweet dog and is not a fear biter, she has never growled or tried to bite no matter how scared she is. Hope is very active and loves to jump and
run she looks like a deer. She has started playing with toys but she will probably never be an outgoing friendly dog.
Hope is spayed, vaccinated, heartworm negative and is on preventative.
