Lola 1-2 year old Female
Lola is probably less than 2 years old she is now a very sweet, friendly and playful girl. Before coming here, she spent her life in a pen in her previous owner's yard with little socialization and was abused. Her owner ended up dumping her in animal control which was the best thing that could have happened to Lola.
Someone obviously had beat her about the head as you could not touch her head let alone put a leash or collar on her. After being here 3 days, Lola being very smart, learned that she was not going to be hurt and her whole demeanor began to change. She became much more outgoing, she then trusted me she let me put a collar on her with her ID. Lola listens well and very much wants to please. She is now very loving and will sit next to you forever as she wants you to be her best friend. Lola is a beautiful Rottie, but she is not good with young children,(she is getting better) she is protective of her new place and of me. She would make a wonderful family dog with older children and either as an only dog or with a large male dog. No cats or small dogs. When we got Lola from animal control, she was limping and we found out that she had a torn cruciate ligament in her knee. That may be why her previous owner dumped her in animal control. We had her ligament surgically repaired 3 months ago and she is now walking well. Lola has been spayed, vaccinated, wormed, is heartworm negative and on prevention.

Cody 1 year old Male
Cody and Roxy (see above) are brother and sister. They have been raised together They are probably a little over a year old.
We had them brought up from Los Angeles where they were going to be euthanized. They are huge and are the size of a small pony. Roxy is the same size as Cody. They are both sweet dogs, they have had little training and because of their large size, they try and bulldoze their way. they will push you out of their way if they want something. I have been working a little with roxy and her manners are improving. I do not know yet if Cody is housebroken. They can be adopted together or separately. They will require a very strong owner to be able to handle these dogs without being dragged until their training can be completed. They are sweet and friendly and happy for any attention. Cody is altered, vaccinated heart worm negative and are on preventative. Cody is microchipped. Looking for a home with No cats, small children, or small dogs.
For more information on these huge dogs, please contact Elaine at fiber88@earthlink.net.

Adopted 9/11
Bruka 10 year old Female
Bruka is about 10 years old. She belonged to Doris Baldwin who passed
away at the age of 87. Doris always told me that if
anything happened to her, her daughter PROMISED that she would care
for Bruka. Well that did not happened. it is obvious to me that her daughter did
not care or want the dog or even wanted to honor her promise to her
mother, as she dumped Bruka on us. We took Bruka because Doris
always supported the rescue of Rotties and the Rottweiler Breed, so
to honor her memory, unlike her own daughter, we took in Bruka.
Bruka had many medical needs and it is obvious, that Doris in her
last year, due to her age and illness could not properly care for
Bruka. We spent over $700 on Bruka taking care of her bladder
infection, and having 2 large tumors removed, both were non
cancerous. We also had a chem panel and a heartworm test done on
her, and she now is in very good shape for her age. We asked the
family to help out with her medical bills since they dumped Bruka on
us and our budget was already stressed, They agreed to send us
$200 (how generous) to help us with Bruka's bills and that did not
materialize either. When asked about it he, said that he sent a check
and that it was stolen.
Bruka is a very friendly dog, she gets along with both male and
female dogs. She is very good in the house and is low maintenance
as she sleeps a lot and does not require much in the way of exercise.
We are looking for a quiet family for Bruka where she can spend her
last years. She is a very sweet and loving dog. She would be great
for an older couple as that is what she is used to. Bruka is spayed
up to date with her shots is heartworm negative and is on
preventative. She loves to sleep on your bed and is very snuggly.
If anybody is interested in knowing more about Bruka or giving her
final loving home. Please email Elaine at fiber88@earrthlink.net Rest in Peace Doris, Bruka is being very well cared for and is a lot better off here than with people who do not care about her.
