Reba 8 month old Female
This cutie is Reba, she is about 8 months old. She is a very good girl, one of the best young dogs that we have ever had here.
She is friendly, great with other dogs and would probably be OK with cats. She is housebroken, crate trained and she obeys very well. She loves to play with other dogs. She rides well in the car and we are working on her leash manners.

She has her natural tail and when she gets excited she will bring it up over her back and it will curl.

Reba is spayed, microchipped, heartworm negative and is on preventative. She is up to date on her vaccines. If you are looking for a great family dog, Reba is your girl! She will make a wonderful family member.

Betty 9 year old Female         Adopted 12/2012

This is Betty, she is about 9 years old, She is in very good shape, we just had her in for a vet check. We think that she is a rottie/ aussie mix.

She was owned by an elderly man who could no longer care for her so she ended up in animal control. We would like to find her a home with an older person(s) where she can live out the rest of her life.

She is very good in the house and is housebroken, she rides well in a car and walks nicely on a leash.

She is very sweet and friendly. She is good with dogs who are quiet both male and female, she does not like dogs jumping on her. Betty is up to date on her vaccines and is spayed and is heartworm negative and is on heartworm preventative.

Mira 4 year old Female

Mira is about 4 years old, We think that she is part Doberman and we do not know what the other parts are. She is about 45-50 pounds. She is spayed, vaccinated micro chipped, heartworm negative and is on preventative. She walks nicely on a leash and rides well in the car and she is housebroken and is not destructive in the house. Mira gets along with some dogs but would do best as an only dog.

She has been at the rescue far too long and really needs a forever home. When she first came to us she was afraid of everybody and very withdrawn. She is still reserved but now she will go up and greet strangers, she is slowly finding out the people will not hurt her.
She loves to go on long walks. She is a loving and loyal dog and is a good watch dog. She would be perfect as a companion for an older quiet couple or person.

Jameson 3 year old Male       ADOPTED 8/18/2012

Jameson is about 3 years old. He is a very sweet and friendly guy who is very needy right now. He is a medium sized rottie. He came from a high kill shelter in Southern CA. He arrived here very undereweight. He is neutered, vaccinated, wormed, microchipped, heartworm negative and is on preventative

Jameson seems to be Ok with female dogs but shows jealousy so at least at first it would be better if he went into an only dog home where he could receive all of the attention. He rides very well in the car and was very good at our vets. He walks pretty well on a leash but needs a lot more practice. He also is easy to bathe.
Adopted 9/2012
Lola 2 year old Female

Lola is around 2 years old she is now a very sweet, friendly and playful girl. Before coming here, she spent her life in a pen in her previous owner's yard with little socialization and was abused. Her owner ended up dumping her in animal control which was the best thing that could have happened to Lola. Someone obviously had beat her about the head as you could not touch her head let alone put a leash or collar on her.
After being here 3 days, Lola being, very smart, learned that she was not going to be hurt and her whole demeanor began to change. She became much more outgoing, she then trusted me she let me put a collar on her with her ID. Lola listens well and very much wants to please. She is now very loving and will sit next to you forever as she wants you to be her best friend. Lola is a beautiful Rottie, but she is not good with young children,(she is getting better) she is protective of her new place and of me. She would make a wonderful family dog with older children and either as an only dog or with a large male dog. No cats or small dogs.
When we got Lola from animal control, she was limping and we found out that she had a torn cruciate ligament in her knee. That may be why her previous owner dumped her in animal control. We had her ligament surgically repaired 3 months ago and she is now walking well. Lola has been spayed, vaccinated, wormed, is heartworm negative and on prevention.
