*If you have a dog posted on our site, you must contact us by the 5th of each month if you want them to stay posted for another month. If we do not hear from you they will be taken down on the 10th. This is the only way we can manage the dogs since we have to call to verify who is adopted and not each month. Few people ever call to let us know when there dogs get adopted and we are an all volunteer rescue and too much time is spent trying to keep the courtesy listings up to date. We are trying to keep this a free and donation based service to the public. Thank you for your understanding.

Zander is a very loving, AKC registered , 5 year old male rottweiller. He is loyal, affectionate and freely gives kisses. He is exceptionally well trained, he knows and obeys all commands, including: sit, stay, down, go to bed, come, and lay on your side. He walks nicely on leash without pulling. He retrieves a ball, loves to play fetch and gives it freely for another toss. He's been around my two boys, ages 8 and 10 for the past two weeks without incident, but doesn't get along at all with my other male rottie mix. We brought him to our vet when he was dumped in our yard about 12 days ago and he's been given full medical examination. The vet says he is very healthy, 100 lbs with good clean teeth. He was a very compliant good boy when we had him neutered and chipped at the vet. He was also screened for heartworm and rabies vaccinated and has been given a clean bill of health. He only needs someone to love him and give him a good safe and stable home. We were told he lived in a condo for a portion of his life. He is fully housebroken and relaxed indoors. In fact, he prefers to be inside laying around and is not an "outdoor dog.". Zander may not get along with other male dogs, he's a traditional pack leader and will do best in a stable home where he can care for and protect his owner as comes naturally to this breed. Zander will come to his new home with all updated shots and medical records for the veternarian services he's had with us. Esther, Female, owner surrender for killing the neighbors chicken - I think she was mostly a back yard dog. Very sweet with people - we all love her Esther is a very loving dog . she digs out of the yard when left alone so her new family will need to be able to manage that. She is not interested in being with other dogs, she chases cats and would eat a bird. Basically she's a sweet people-dog who wants to be an only pet and have all the attention for herself!. Mia 4 1/2 year old Female

Mia is a 4 1/2 year old ball of energy who likes to play in the water and tug a war. Mia loves people and kids and would do best in a family with older kids. She hasn't been around dogs of similar size but has been raised with two little dogs and a cat. Mia is a big girl weighing about 135-140lbs and is tall. Mia can be dominate and territorial and needs to have a strong leader. Mia is house broken and isn't destructive. She travels pretty well and needs a little more work walking on a leash. Hi! My name is Sasha. I am a Rott/Shepard mix. I was rescued March 20, 2010, in Carmichael, CA from my old owners back yard. I was abandoned at a foreclosed home with my Weiner-dog sister (already adopted). I weigh 79 pounds. I need a dog family to love me and one whom I can protect. I am so excited to be around people that I will follow you everywhere. I am great with kids and already a loyal protector to my foster family. My current family planned to keep me but I forgot to tell them that I DO NOT like cats. My new foster-mom bought my flea medicine, my heart worm medicine, and my doggie-Motrin, rimadyl. I have a cool large dogloo and a new big pillow from Costco. Since last Saturday I have had a complete grooming and finally got my long nails trimmed. I am getting used to my new short nails and walking better. I am a bit stiff because I was confined to a small area and could not walk far. I have been to the vet for all my shots and tests. I am spayed, my blood work is fine (a little low thyroid), my stool sample clear, and I have a negative heart worm test. I can't wait to meet you!
